| gentlemen, it seems we may have been had. http://www.amazon.com/Monte-Presents-Heroes-Fantasy-Roleplaying/dp/1588467961/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258057411&sr=8-1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Heroesout in 2005 "This hardcover provides 10 all-new core classes, an expanded feat system, new combat options, character traits, a new magic paradigm, and much more. Iron Heroes does for d20 combat what Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved does for the d20 magic system. Modifications to the core system allow for high-adventure gaming where a character's talents, not his possessions, determine his abilities. Expansions to the core skill and feat subsystems allow for intriguing new tactics and exciting, cinematic battles. This exciting new game draws in both players looking for a new roleplaying game and those who want useful new rules for their d20 games. This complete handbook for players includes guidelines for incorporating its new rules and options and into d20 games and Arcana Evolved games." but then again, there are countless gaming systems out there and too many to choose from. | |

| Oh, lol. Gotcha. No gods, no divine magic. I like it. I'll have to download that and have a look. It's more historcal then, if the word history has even belonged in fantasy role play. Would be cool to play a kick-ass fighter when you don't have to worry about some damn mage blowing you up before you even get to the fight. | |

| fighters are fun, and ac and defense work a little differently too. if you have a high dex and wear armor it will slow you down and make you easier to hit. just think if you have a high dex, (like a ninja) you don't want to wear any armor this allowing you to avoid getting hit and giving you an ultra high ac. if you have a low dex, you'll want to wear armor and what the armor does is minimal for AC, but it counts as damage reduction for each hit. | |

I like the damage reduction idea. | |
